Dispensing technologies in aerospace industry
Some time ago we published an article on the possibilities of using dispensing technology in the automotive industry. We cordially invite you to read it:
As it turns out, it’s not just the automotive industry that is vigorously using all kinds of dispensing technologies. Continuous development and the desire to automate production is also affecting the broader aircraft manufacturing industry (aerospace industry). Adhesives of all kinds are used throughout the aircraft including propulsion, engines, interior and exterior. An example of the use of dispensing technology in aircraft is:
🔶 use of adhesives, threadlockers, fastening and sealing compounds in hydraulic components of jet engines,
🔶 Use of adhesives, foams, epoxies to assemble lighting, containers, seats and other details inside the aircraft,
🔸 It is worth mentioning that for the application of adhesives to elements with easy and consistent surfaces, manually operated devices are used, there is no need to apply along a fixed repetitive path (e.g. steering wheel emblems). On the other hand, the situation changes when we have to deal with more complex shapes, then it is recommended to use industrial robots (e.g., chrome frames located around displays).
